THIS IS FOR THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR

Lincoln Public Schools is continuously accepting applications for consideration for substitute paraeducator positions. The substitute paraeducator is an on-call position replacing the regularly assigned paraeducator. This assignment may range from 1 day to multiple days (including long-term assignments). The position consists of a variety of duties dependent upon the type of student needs and programs.

The responsibilities include assisting teachers in carrying out the district's educational program; classroom and lunchroom supervision; aiding a student with special needs - learning and behavioral needs, as well as mental and physical challenges; early childhood programs; and school entrance monitoring and supervision.  This position requires flexibility and willingness to follow directions.  Substitute paraedcators must also work during those times they have indicated availabiltiy.

Substitute paraeducator positions requiring physical activities are subject to a post-offer physical test related to those activities. Position hours range from 2 to 7 hours/day.

Salariy range for the previous year was from $9.98/hour to $12.61/hour depending on the substitute paraeducator assignment.
