The IT Project Manager coordinates information technology initiatives by employing industry-standard project management techniques along with excellent communication skills.  Tasks include coordinating with IT Program Managers to coordinate resources, establishing timetables and delineating project deliverables based on stakeholder input.  Common projects include the implementation of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software and development of web applications, process automation applications in the district ERP, code extensions to the district Student Information System, and data integrations between systems. The position is assigned to the Information Technology Services (ITS) team and serves as a key interface for other members of the Computing Services department participating in the implementation of district technology. The selected candidate will need to have strong interpersonal skills and be extremely resourceful. The position works directly with the Director of ITS.

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or related field. Extensive project management experience with corresponding computing skills will be considered as a suitable alternative.            

 

Experience: Three to five years’ experience in project management or related experience required.  Experience with project management software tools. Demonstrable experience managing projects and people effectively and independently.

 

Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

 

Salary: $100,000.00-$110,000.00 per year, commensurate with education and experience, plus an outstanding benefits package, paid time off, and paid holidays. This position is also offers a generous retirement plan, including a 101% match of employee retirement contributions.
