The Early Childhood Speech Language Pathologist: Center Based Teacher provides speech and language services to children with disabilities in the district's inclusive preschool classrooms.  The successful candidate demonstrates the ability to work with and provide coaching to classroom staff, develop and implement programming, complete evaluations and develop and implement IEPs/IFSPs. 

 

Responsible for the development and implementation of IEPs and IFSP and other related special education paperwork in the preschool setting.  Assists with the collection of GOLD data, provides input and collaborates with families and other regular and on-going communication with the preschool staff. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.  Position requires travel to various LPS buildings as part of the assignment. Drivers license and dependable transportation required.

 

This position may require some additional days in the summer, in addition to the teacher contract, to provide required summer services. This is an itinerant posiiton and assignment is done by the Director of Early Childhood.
