Certified Substitute Teacher (2024-2025 school year)

 

Substitute teachers are those who hold a bachelor degree (or higher) in education.  This position requires Nebraska Teaching or State Substitute certificate.

 

Full Day Pay Rate:  $171.47 (2024-2025 rate pending)

Half Day Pay Rate:  $88.73  (2024-2025 rate pending)

 

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Employees retiring or changing from a benefits eligible position to a substitute only position are subject to NPERS and PPACA reemployment rules and will need to wait 90 or 180 days.

• Upload a copy of your current degree and/or coursework transcripts* 

• Upload a copy your NDE Teaching Certificate*

• Complete the Gallup Teacher Insight Survey 2.0

 

*Applicants that are hired will be required to provide official transcripts of degrees/coursework and a valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate to Human Resources prior to starting to work. 

 

Applicants who do NOT hold a degree in education, should apply for the Certified, Local Substitute Teacher, 2024-2025 position.
