Belmont  is seeking a 7.5 hour Behavior Technician. The candidate should possess a desire to work with students who demonstrate behavioral and cognitive challenges. The Behavior Technician supports students to regulate emotions and behaviors so that they can be successful in the classroom environment. This position will provide assistance to staff to address and maintain appropriate student behavior.  The person may also assist in other areas of instruction, recreation, classroom organization and general supervision of students.  All activities are performed under the direction and supervision of the building administrator and/or another certified staff member(s).

 

A strong candidate for this position would have experience working with children with behavioral issues, disruptive and/or at risk youth, is and must have the ability to create strong positive relationships with students and  staff.  They should have knowledge of effective communication/crisis intervention/resolution/mediation skills.  The candidate  must meet Title school requirements.

 

Hourly pay rate $19.36
