Position Title: .5 Special Education Teacher/.5 Interventionist

Location: Kooser Elementary

 

Position Details: 

Kooser is seeking a special education teacher who is willing to collaborate with regular education and special education teachers, paraprofessionals, parents, and administrators for the benefit of student achievement. Grades and service delivery models will be flexible as we strive to meet the needs of students.  They will serve as a member of IEP teams to assist in the development and implementation of IEPs for each student on their caseload. They must have the ability to work well with others, communicate effectively with parents of students, and assist regular education teachers and staff in planning and implementing classroom instruction to meet the needs of a diverse group of students. This person will also serve as a part-time interventionist who would serve small groups of students in math, reading and other academic areas. Candidate should be a positive, contributing team member with an understanding of literacy and math interventions, and progress monitoring. Must be able to work well with teachers from general education, special education and ELL.
