A paraeducator at Yankee Hill Education Center must have desire to work and support high school age students who demonstrate behavioral challenges. The person proves assistance to staff to address and maintain appropriate student behavior, as well as assist in other areas of instruction, recreation, classroom organization and general supervision of students.
Candidates need to have the ability to build strong relationships with students and support classroom teacher's plans and follow consistent expectations. They need to demonstrate effective communication skills, provide quality feedback to all learners and have reliable attendance.
